Head of Business Development & Solution Design – Warehousing

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead and support the development of warehousing services by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. Ensure that warehousing solutions are competitive, customer-focused, and aligned with the company’s logistics strategy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Strategic Development

Assist in defining and implementing the long-term vision and strategy for warehousing services.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to position the company competitively.
Support digital transformation and sustainable warehousing practices.

2. Business Growth & Partnerships

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in warehousing and distribution.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners.
Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Drive initiatives to expand warehousing capacity and service offerings.

3. Operations & Solution Design

Collaborate with operations teams to design and deliver tailored warehousing solutions.
Ensure service quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Support the implementation of new projects and smooth handover to operations.

4. Financial & Performance Management

Contribute to managing P&L for warehousing business units.
Analyze cost structures, propose optimization measures, and ensure profitability.
Establish KPIs and monitor performance metrics to track business growth and efficiency.

5. Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop the business development team for warehousing.
Promote a culture of innovation, customer excellence, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Sales) to ensure alignment.

6. Reporting & Compliance

Prepare regular reports on business development activities, market analysis, and financial performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and legal requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in logistics/warehousing, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
Strong knowledge of warehousing operations, distribution networks, and contract management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Fluent in English; experience working with international partners is an advantage.
High leadership capability, strategic thinking, and ability to drive business growth.
