Head of Business Development & Solution Design – Warehousing
JOB PURPOSE:
Lead and support the development of warehousing services by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. Ensure that warehousing solutions are competitive, customer-focused, and aligned with the company’s logistics strategy.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Strategic Development
- Assist in defining and implementing the long-term vision and strategy for warehousing services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to position the company competitively.
- Support digital transformation and sustainable warehousing practices.
2. Business Growth & Partnerships
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in warehousing and distribution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners.
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Drive initiatives to expand warehousing capacity and service offerings.
3. Operations & Solution Design
- Collaborate with operations teams to design and deliver tailored warehousing solutions.
- Ensure service quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Support the implementation of new projects and smooth handover to operations.
4. Financial & Performance Management
- Contribute to managing P&L for warehousing business units.
- Analyze cost structures, propose optimization measures, and ensure profitability.
- Establish KPIs and monitor performance metrics to track business growth and efficiency.
5. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the business development team for warehousing.
- Promote a culture of innovation, customer excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Sales) to ensure alignment.
6. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, market analysis, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and legal requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in logistics/warehousing, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing operations, distribution networks, and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Fluent in English; experience working with international partners is an advantage.
- High leadership capability, strategic thinking, and ability to drive business growth.
